Welcome to the Midwest Luthiers Guild. We are a group of musical instrument makers who hope to foster a positive creative environment for experienced luthiers and folks who are new to the craft and eager to learn more about wood, sound, and people.

Due to the nature of business in the 21st century, volunteers are earnestly sought to help maintain this community. It will thrive only as long as there is a broad division of labor. Neil Harrell has patiently kept this group on life-support for too many years and unless we all pitch in to spread the burden, the Guild will become a thing of the past.
